Sustrans Connect London

sustrans, the civil engineering charity, is calling on Boris to spend £10m a year for 8 years on creating 600 miles of quiet cycling routes.

Yes I know this is a shameless plug, but Sustrans has clout in getting funding and influencing the politicians. They are best known as being instrumental in creating the National Cycle Route Network and working to remove physical barriers to walking and cycling. One of their current campaigns is to push the Mayor of London to invest in new quieter cycling routes, to created the Connect London Network.
